FAQs

? What is a Domain Transfer and how does it affect my website?

A domain transfer is the process of moving your domain registration from one provider to another—in this case, transferring your domain to Spring19. During the transfer, your website remains active as long as DNS settings are properly maintained; however, the transfer process involves updating the domain’s registration details. It may temporarily cause slight delays in DNS propagation, but with proper planning, your website and email services typically experience minimal or no downtime.

? Do I need anything before starting a Domain Name Transfer?

Yes. Before initiating a transfer, ensure that your domain is eligible: it must be at least 60 days old and not involved in any legal or transfer restrictions. Also, unlock your domain at your current registrar, disable any domain privacy or privacy protection services, and obtain the authorization or transfer code (EPP code). Make sure your contact information is up to date, as you’ll need to verify ownership during the process.

? What happens after my 14-Day Free Trial ends?

If you haven’t upgraded by the end of your trial, your work is still safe. We keep your website exactly as it is for an additional 14-day grace period. This gives you extra time to decide on a plan without the risk of losing your progress or having to start over. You can upgrade at any point during these two weeks to pick up exactly where you left off.

? Do I need to purchase Hosting separately?

No. Hosting is included in every Spring19 Website Plan. On the free trial, your site is hosted on a temporary domain so you can build and preview without any setup. When you upgrade to a paid plan, your site moves to your own custom domain with hosting, security, and weekly backups all included. There is nothing to buy or configure separately.
